FAQ

What areas do you cover?

We provide removal and clearance services across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas. Whether you are moving locally or further afield, our team is ready to help ensure a smooth and stress free move. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

How far in advance should I book my move?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and month end dates, which tend to fill up quickly. That said, we will always do our best to accommodate shorter notice moves where availability allows.

How do you prepare my quote?

Your quote is prepared based on the details of your move. This includes the size of the property, the number and type of items being moved, any additional services such as packing or dismantling, and the distance involved. Our aim is to provide a clear, transparent, and competitive quote with no hidden charges.

Do you charge by the hour?

Every move is different. Some services may be charged hourly, while others are quoted as a fixed price depending on the scope of the move. We assess your requirements in advance so pricing is clear and predictable, helping you avoid unexpected costs.

What happens if my moving date changes?

We understand that moving dates can change, particularly when part of a property chain. Please let us know as soon as possible if your date changes and we will do our best to reschedule your move, subject to availability.

Can you help with dismantling and reassembling furniture?

Yes, we can. Many moves require furniture to be dismantled for safe transport. This service is included as standard with every move. If you also require furniture to be reassembled at your new property, we can provide this at a competitive rate. Simply let us know your requirements when requesting your quote.

What protection do you use to keep my furniture safe?

We prioritise the safety of your belongings. We use high quality padding, protective blankets, and furniture covers to minimise the risk of damage during transit. All items are securely loaded and carefully handled by our experienced team to ensure they arrive safely at your destination.

Will my goods be insured while in your care?

Yes, your goods are fully insured while in our care. Item values must be declared before the move to ensure appropriate cover. If values are not declared, standard liability will apply. If you require additional cover, we are happy to discuss suitable options with you.

Can you supply packing materials?

Yes, we offer a full range of professional packing materials to help protect your belongings. This includes boxes, tape, wrapping paper, and wardrobe boxes. We also offer convenient packing bundles tailored to different property sizes. Please ask for details when making your enquiry.

How should I transport hanging clothes?

The best way to transport hanging garments is using wardrobe boxes. These allow clothes to remain hanging, reducing creases and damage. Wardrobe boxes are provided free of charge when using our packing service and are also available to purchase if you prefer to pack yourself.

Can you assist with moving a piano?

Yes. Piano moves require specialist handling, and our team is trained and equipped to move upright, grand, and electric pianos. We use specialist equipment and protective materials to ensure your piano is transported safely and securely.

What storage options do you offer?

We offer both short term and long term storage solutions to suit your needs. Whether you are between properties, downsizing, or require storage during a move, your belongings will be kept in a secure, clean, and protected environment until you are ready for redelivery.

Do you offer end of tenancy cleaning?

Yes, we provide professional end of tenancy cleaning carried out to landlord and letting agent standards. This service is ideal for tenants, landlords, and property managers looking for a smooth and hassle free handover.

What access do you need at the property?

Clear access for our vehicles is important to ensure your move runs smoothly. Please let us know about parking restrictions, stairs, lifts, or long walking distances when making your enquiry so we can plan accordingly.

What is your key wait policy?

We do not charge for key waits up until 1:00 pm. Any waiting time after 1:00 pm is charged at an hourly rate of £50 per vehicle. For complete peace of mind, we recommend adding our Late Key Waiver for a one off fee of £99, which protects you from unexpected delays on moving day.

Do I need to be present on moving day?

In most cases, we recommend that someone is present at the property. However, we can complete moves where clients are not present, provided clear instructions and access arrangements are agreed in advance.

Are there any items that cannot be moved?

For safety and legal reasons, there are certain items we cannot transport. These typically include hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, gases, explosives, and certain chemicals. If you are unsure about a specific item, please contact us before your move.

How do I pay for your services, and is a deposit required?

We accept bank transfer, debit card, credit card, and cash. A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the move. Please note that card payments may incur a small fee. Full payment details will be provided with your quote.
